Founded in 2006, Studio Apocalypse has become the working realm of American technical artist Adam S. Phillips. Where, we design, build, carve, and conjure for musicians, authors, occultists, wanderers, and the beautifully strange souls who feel at home in the shadows... along with anyone who values craft sharpened with a darker edge. Inclusive by nature and unapologetically LGBTQ+ friendly, our studio embraces all who are drawn to the art that lives between light and dark.

Crafting evocative visuals and accessible pathways for artists in business.

Adam S. Phillips is an interdisciplinary artist, designer, and the head of Studio Apocalypse, a Colorado-based creative studio known for its darkly atmospheric aesthetic and accessible, collaborative approach. Since founding the studio in 2006, Phillips has carved out a reputation as a versatile creative force, bridging the worlds of visual design, craft, digital media, and brand development to help artists and small businesses turn their ideas into market-ready products.

Drawing from nearly two decades of work across web design, book design, print production, merchandise, product design, and visual identity systems, Phillips brings a rare combination of technical precision and artistic intuition to every project. His work has been published across Colorado, featured in galleries and community arts events, and has supported hundreds of musicians, artists, authors, and small business owners in building brands that stand apart.

Beyond the studio, Phillips serves on the board of the Huajatolla Heritage Foundation as the organization’s Technical and Marketing Chair and Celtic Liaison, contributing his expertise to cultural preservation, community projects, and heritage-based arts programming. This leadership role reflects his broader mission: helping artists thrive in business by giving them tools, strategy, and visual clarity in an increasingly complex creative landscape.

Equally at home behind a camera, at a workbench hand-crafting Celtic leather goods, or shaping a brand’s digital presence, Phillips approaches every discipline with the same philosophy—creative work should be both evocative and functional, rooted in storytelling, and accessible to those who need it most.

Through Studio Apocalypse, he continues to expand his practice, mentor emerging creatives, and build platforms where art, identity, and business can coexist and flourish.
